They had to do extensive leveling of the area because I live on a slope. Very happy with the job they did. And they did it ahead of schedual which was awesome, as I needed space for my boat and trailer. Great guys to deal with and Ryan is very knowledgeable.

Landscaping of yard

Nicholson Landscaping provided Installation of a Retaining wall, topsoil, turf, planting of shrubs, installation bark mulch and garden beds. The original quote was provided with separate estimates for each job, this allowed us prioritize and pick and choose what work we wanted to keep us in budget. Most companies provide a lump some cost estimate that does not allow that kind of flexibility, that ultimately got them the project because they were transparent. They were upfront on when the work could be completed and how long it would take. Clean up was fast, staff were very professional and pleasant to have around our home. No surprise extras. Will definitely use this firm again.

Removed old landscape ties in front of house and replaced with concrete blocks. Replaced old landscape ties at side of house and replaced with new ties. Very pleased with the work. We commissioned Nicholson Landscaping Ltd to re-build a sixty year old messy front and back yard. Since the property is in a steep incline, considerable work needed to be done. It involved stone retainers, steps, drainage, shaping the yard and planting trees. All in all, they have done a fantastic job. Completed on schedule, and at a good price. All debris was removed and the yard left behind was all cleaned up. Mostly, I must say, the crew of five men were fantastic. Professional, engaging and friendly willing to explain the progress of the work.

This is the second time I have hired Nicholson Landscaping to do a job for me. The first job was to create a flagstone path and sitting area in my back yard in May/June 2016. We were incredibly pleased with the customer service and work that was done in the backyard so hired them again in early 2018 to redo our front yard, which had been torn up by the chafer beetles. Again, extremely pleased with the results. Both jobs came in as quoted. Ryan Nicholson suggested ideas for the front yard that I had not considered and he was very open to my ideas and suggestions. They completely remodelled and landscaped my backyard which is very sloped. The old retaining walls were rail way ties that had rotted away and the backyard was a dangerous unattractive mess. I have had many compliments about my backyard since. I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

I can only describe my experience with Nicholson Landscape as “superior”. Our job was small (a retaining wall along 15 feet of our sidewalk was collapsing) but complicated. I contacted a couple of landscaping companies but Nicholson was the only one that responded. Ryan came to our place the next day to give me a quote. It was a day and a half job requiring two workers and lots of equipment. They were able to start the work the following Saturday. Their staff worked hard, were pleasant and knowledgeable. Ryan came by once to ensure that the work was progressing as it should. I thought the quoted price was fair. The final results were excellent and exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend this company.

Ryan is a Professional. We cold called his Company for help in a xeriscape that we wanted to have done to replace our nasty looking crow damaged lawn. We also wanted our driveway widened and a gravel pad put in our back yard for my camper to sit on. Ryan came out right away and provided his expertise on what he could offer. He provided a quote and drawing of what he proposed. We paid him half down to proceed and the remainder once completed. Although it took some time to have the work start due to his many projects on the go once it did is was done quickly and efficiently by a large team and when they were done no trace remained of them except for the finished project which we are very happy with.

Full Backyard

We hired Ryan and Nicholson Landscaping after meeting with 2-3 other companies. Ryan immediately came across as the most knowledgeable, friendly and detailed of all the ones we met so it was obvious to go with him.

They did a major project on our Poco backyard that included a retaining wall, fencing, paving stone deck and walkways plus some overall landscaping. We found his crew, in particular his foreman Jordan and Tim, to be outstanding. Several other crew were also on site and were also great to have around. They were professional, worked quickly, super friendly and polite, communicated very well and were generally enjoyable to have around our house for over a month.

Ryan visited our site often and always responded quickly on the same day to our questions and changes we wanted. The project was completed exactly as budgeted and with the exception of fall weather delays, was on time as well.

We would not hesitate to use Ryan and his company again for future projects and would recommend them to anyone considering a major landscaping project. They exceeded our expectations in many areas.
